Description
CHILDREN AND AUTISM: TIME IS BRAIN is a sensitive and engaging portrait of two families faced with the daunting challenge of raising an autistic child. Autistic children typically have deficits in the areas of social interaction and communication skills. Today, scientists remain mystified about the causes of the complex neurological disorder, while experts claim that early diagnosis and appropriate intervention are the keys to helping autistic children reach their potential. During the program, therapists and a board-certified behavior analyst discuss diagnosis, early intervention and the treatment of autism. |
