James Brown was universally hailed as the "Godfather of Soul" from the start of his career in the 1950s until his death in 2006. The concert, filmed at the legendary Chastain Park in Atlanta, Georgia in 1984, also features Maceo Parker on saxophone, who famously played with Brown during the sixties and with Parliament and Funkadelic during the seventies.
