Description

CHEFS A' FIELD: CULINARY ADVENTURES THAT BEGIN ON THE FARM, once praised by the late Julia Child for its “wonderful and refreshing focus," takes viewers on a glorious culinary journey to explore the origins of food. This 13-part series, taped in High Definition, explores the vital relationship between the nation’s top chefs and their food sources. Guest chefs including Jacques Pepin, Suzanne Goin, Dan Barber, Karen DeMasco and Greg Atkinson, travel from the kitchen to the farm to select fresh, local ingredients for a signature dish they prepare later in the episode. As the chefs interact with farmers, fishermen, foragers and ranchers, viewers witness how environmental practices make a difference in the way foods taste and in their nutritional value. CHEFS A' FIELD traces the origins of great meals from the fields, forests, waters and farms of the United States and exposes the benefits of natural and sustainable food systems.
