The Lovin' Spoonful, a popular pop-rock band of the 1960s, was America's response to the British Invasion. The band termed their approach "good-time music" – a sound that stood the test of time and influenced others. This special, THE LOVIN' SPOONFUL WITH JOHN SEBASTIAN: A LOVIN' LOOK BACK, includes full-performance footage of their hits, including "Do You Believe in Magic," "Daydream," "You Didn't Have to Be So Nice," "Summer in the City," "Did You Ever Have to Make Up Your Mind," "Welcome Back" and more. John Sebastian, the voice of the band and writer of the hits, provides insight into the songs, the band and the era. Additional archive material is used to "set the scene" of the 1960s when The Lovin' Spoonful was at their peak.
