Documentaries Hold Court in June

The new documentary MONARCHY WITH DAVID STARKEY premiered in June earning public television’s highest-rated program in primetime on June 7 with a 3.5 rating on KPBS/San Diego. The program also made public television’s list of top 20 primetime shows the week of June 26-July 2, ranking in at No. 14 just behind Nature with a 1.24 weekly average.

Also, APT’s THE APPALACHIANS is still going strong after being released more than a year ago, proving the critically acclaimed program still “has legs.” During June, the program earned a notable 1.9 average rating across five primetime plays. WMP+/Baltimore cleverly scheduled the program at the same time on three contiguous nights from June 27-29, building its audience from a 1.9 on Tuesday to a 2.7 on Wednesday.
