The Barefoot Contessa

Double-pump APT movies or pair them with nostalgic programs

The Barefoot Contessa and Twelve O’Clock High are among the latest APT movies to climb the ratings charts. Throughout August, the films respectively averaged a 1.6 and a 1.5 HH rating in primetime (among primary stations). KETA/Oklahoma and KOED+/Tulsa, in particular, had success with Twelve O’Clock High at 9:00 p.m on Saturday, Aug. 18, scheduling it directly after The Original Amateur Hour, the nostalgic predecessor to today’s American Idol. Meanwhile, KQED/San Francisco double-pumped APT movies, scheduling The Barefoot Contessa and Twelve O’Clock High back-to-back on Saturday, Aug. 25, averaging a 2.1 for both broadcasts and earning the fourth highest GRPs of the night.
